Our Transit Department is pleased to welcome you to the City of Manteca.

 

Transit Division

Our site provides comprehensive information on public transportation in and around Manteca. Transit provides fixed route and dial-a-ride bus service throughout Manteca with stops at key locations.

 

Visually Impaired and Blind Guides with Audio and Tactile Maps

 

A new service called Talk To Me Maps will make it easier for blind and visually impaired passengers to get around the Manteca Transit System and other transit systems in San Joaquin County. Manteca Transit is one of four transportation centers in San Joaquin County offering the service. There is a braille / large print map available at the Manteca Transit Center for those who need assistance planning their trip and finding bus stops.

Holiday Schedule

 

On the following holidays, Manteca Transit does not operate:

 

Passengers must have exact fare. Drivers do not make change.

There are bike racks on every bus operated by Manteca Transit. Bicycle racks are free to use when you pay for the bus fare. More information is available on Bikes on Buses.

Lost and Found

 

The bus company is not responsible for article left on the bus, but we will do our best to help you retrieve it if it has been lost.

Drivers appreciate it if you give them items they leave on the bus.

Dispatch the Manteca Transit Office at (209) 456-8888 if you lose something on a bus. Please describe the lost item precisely in addition to the route and time you were riding the bus.

The items found on the bus are held by Manteca Transit for 30 days.

Passenger Rights

 

Title VI of the Civil Rights Act guarantees equality of access to transportation services for all citizens of Manteca Transit. Moreover, Manteca Transit intends to educate all citizens about their right to such access. In the event that you believe that Manteca Transit has discriminated against you on the basis of race, color, or national origin, you may file a complaint with the City of Manteca.

Reasonable Modifications / Accommodations

 

Upon request, Manteca Transit adapts policies, practices, and procedures to accommodate passengers with disabilities in accordance with 49 CFR Parts 27 and 37 of the United States Department of Transportation.

 

Among the reasonable modifications are helping passengers insert money into fare boxes, allowing passengers to eat, drink, or take medicine aboard transit vehicles to prevent medical issues, and permitting passengers to board separately from their mobility devices when the passenger can control the movement of the device. In some cases, passengers can request modifications in advance. In other cases, they can request them on the spot. If passengers request accommodations, they do not need to state Reasonable Modifications. It is the intention of Manteca Transit staff to find alternate ways to accommodate passengers' accessibility needs if they cannot request a policy, practice, or procedure modification.
